The Power Plant Pro is by far the most eye-pleasing hydroponic system out there for consumers. As for the inner workings of the system, it is similar to a common “aeroponic” homebuilt system that uses a plastic tote and sprayers that can be built for cheap. However, for the current price on Amazon of $35 shipped, you might spend a bit more then you would building your own, but you get a nice compact system that looks great on a counter. The noise some of the other reviews complain about is a very slight negative for me, and unless you plan on keeping it in your bedroom when you sleep I don’t think you would have a problem with it, it really is not that noisy. Bottom line: The Power Plant Pro for as cheap as it is now is an excellent buy for those who don’t want to build their own system or those who don’t want a big ugly tote in their kitchen.

Bought this at a local store for half the price than it is selling on Amazon. Just got it today and have to say it is not as big as I thought. I was able to setup it up in less than 10 minutes I would say. I do have to agree that it is noisy but kinda sounds like one of those water fountains so it doesnt bother me too much. As someone had said before on here, if you like the sound of running water, it could be quite relaxing. As for the plant growing, that remains to be seen….I really do like the fact that you can grow your own seeds and the accessories you need seem to be inexpensive. I will update my review once my plants have grown!
